The Red Tent
The Red Tent events differ from the Moonlodges in several ways. Whereas the Moonlodges take place once a month for 13 moons, the Red Tent is less frequent.
Within the Red Tent there is space for women to share their stories and to talk together during the talking circle, to share poetry, song, drumming, food and togetherness. But equally the Red Tent is a place of stillness and peace. It is about listening to yourself and what you need the most within the space provided. If you need to come in and cry, talk, be held, journal, sit, sleep or receive healing, then you can. The Red Tent is all about being given the opportunity to make time for ourselves.
Sometimes we will create things, sometimes we will divine things, sometimes we will heal. Always we will respect ourselves and others within the space and within the talking circle, allowing each other to speak freely without judgement or interruption.
We ask all participants to wear something red if they can and to bring with them food to share. Tea and coffee will be available but please note that the Red Tent is an alcohol and drug free space. If you wish to bring a journal to write in or a book to read during your time in the Red Tent then please feel free to do so.
We ask for a minimum £5 donation from all participants, however no woman will be turned away if she cannot provide this. Please confirm your interest in attending where possible.
